Speculative poetry delves into the imagination and shows us images and feelings of worlds different than ours, of beings that we cannot understand. The poems featured in the second issue of James Gunn’s Ad Astra are concerned both with the mysteries of our own world and in space, as well as the incomprehensibility of a universe hidden from sight. Each poem addresses our limits of knowledge and understanding, and the need to open our perspectives.
